With Christmas menus being released by all of our favourite fast food places, it was about time that McDonald’s revealed its own festive offerings for 2020.
That’s right, the fast food chain has been getting fans in the festive mood by releasing details of its seasonal menu. There’s everything you could want from mouth-watering burgers to special desserts and even a festive coffee – but just what is McDonald’s offering for Christmas this year? We’ve got the lowdown below…
First up on the McDonald’s seasonal menu is a double Big Mac, bringing customers four patties instead of the usual two, along with cheese, lettuce, onions and Big Mac sauce.
It first launched in the US earlier this year but this is the first time it has become available in the UK.
A similar burger called the Mega Mac, which also had four patties, was previously available but McDonald’s has confirmed its double Big Mac is different.
The double Big Mac is the biggest ever burger sold at McDonald’s, followed by the triple cheeseburger.
Launching on November 18th, it will be available as a single sandwich for £4.19, or as a meal with a side and drink for £5.69.
Also on the festive menu is a Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich, which includes two pieces of crispy chicken with a spicy jerk sauce, bacon, pepper jack cheese, onion and lettuce in a sourdough bun.
It will be available on its own for £4.39 or you can get it as part of a meal for £5.69.
If after all that you still have room for dessert, McDonald’s is also launching a new Celebrations McFlurry – which contains pieces of Maltesers, Galaxy, Mars, Twix and a caramel sauce.
The sweet treat will come in two sizes, a mini version for 99p or the regular for £1.39.
Fancy a festive coffee? The fast food chain is also offering a new salted caramel latte for £1.69 – and it’s described by the chain as “a hug in a mug”.
And making a festive return to the menu is McDonald’s cheese melt dippers, which will set you back £1.79 for four dippers, or £4.79 for a sharebox.
The Christmas menu from McDonald’s will be available until December 29th, meaning you’ll have six weeks to get your hands on the seasonal items.
Due to the latest national lockdown, McDonald’s UK restaurants are currently closed for dine-in customers.
In the meantime, you can still order food for takeaway, click and collect or delivery.
McDonald’s is available through both Just Eat and Uber Eats, depending on where you live – but you’ll need to pay extra for delivery.
McDonald’s currently has around 1,300 restaurants in the UK. To find out your nearest branch, use the online finder tool.
